Smooth live TV: how Black TV Player handles buffering

Pre-buffering, auto reconnect and Instant mode explained — plus what to check when a stream still stutters.

Live IPTV streams freeze for a simple reason: the player runs out of video before the next piece arrives. Black TV Player's Pre-buffer mode keeps a deeper rolling buffer on live channels, sized to the stream itself, and gently corrects the playback speed so short network drops pass without freezing the picture.

If a stream drops completely, auto reconnect restarts it by itself, and your subtitle choice is applied again automatically. If you would rather start channels as fast as possible, switch to Instant mode: channels start right away and the player still keeps about 30 seconds buffered.

When a channel still stutters, the cause is usually outside the app: a busy provider server or weak Wi-Fi. A wired Ethernet connection or 5 GHz Wi-Fi helps most, and if only one channel struggles, the source itself is the likely problem.
